The Rye Sourdough Starter (150gr) - this sourdough starter has a strong tangy rye taste that will be perfect for rye based breads. It is also suitable for all other bread recipes if you would like to add a little extra flavour.

Made with 100% British Organic Dark Rye Flour

8-10% Protein Content (naturally low in gluten)

Shipped at 40% Hydration to ensure it travels well.

Comes with first refresh (feed) included as well as full instructions on feeding, using and maintaining your sourdough starter.

We ship on Monday - Thursday (Thursday 12noon cut off) to ensure that your product arrives within 48hours to your door.

Your sourdough starter is shipped in a glass jar with your first dose of flour for refreshing and instructions on how to look after your sourdough starter.

Size

We ship 150gr of sourdough starter as a standard. This comes in a 500ml glass jar.

Care Instructions

Ensure you feed your sourdough starter, as per the instructions in your shipment, as soon as you receive the sourdough starter package.

Further instructions on how to keep your sourdough starter alive and get it ready for baking are also sent to you with your sourdough starter package.

24H before shipping: Test and feed mother starter.

Day of shipping: We prepare your sourdough starter by creating a low hydration dough. It is covered in flour which acts as your first feed.

24H after shipping: You receive your sourdough starter and need to feed it immediately. Instructions included.

48H after shipping: Sourdough starter ready to be baked with.
